Transfer lives and give hope

Many Coptic Christian families in Egypt live in extreme poverty, struggling to feed and clothe their children or send them to school. Living conditions are challenging as families live in shacks, some with incomplete roofing, and they simply don’t have the means to change their circumstances.

You can make a difference for just $60 per month.

How does it work?

We work closely with dioceses across Egypt to determine which families have genuine needs. The Diocese will carry out a case study to decide whether the family meets certain criteria and is eligible for the Family-to-Family Sponsorship program. Once the Diocese approves a family for the program, the search for a sponsor begins.

Due to the privacy and dignity of these families we cannot share personal information with sponsors. However, we’ll provide annual financial reports and updates of where the funds have been allocated with video messages from the local bishops and images of where your donations have gone, where possible.

The Coptic Hope Difference

Unlike most charities, almost 100% of our funds goes directly to those in need, thanks to the unwavering dedication of our committee members who volunteer their skills and time.

Your monthly $60 donation directly supports a family living in poverty, providing them with food, clothing and a place to live. Your generosity transforms one family and has the power to break the cycle of poverty, giving the next generation hope of a better future.

The impact on the family

It’s easy to take for granted having a home to live in, three meals a day to eat, nice clothes to wear and access to good education. Yet, in Egypt many families can’t afford what we consider basic necessities. It robs children of a carefree childhood and an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty.
